Motoko Introduces Encaustic Paintings in 2012 Collection

Motoko introduces a new body of work utilizing the ancient art form of encaustic painting (using a combination of beeswax and damar resin). “Fluidity, translucence, warmth, and luminosity are qualities I find interesting in this form,” Motoko explains. “It is wonderfully versatile to work and experiment with, especially in adding sculptural elements and other media.”
Motoko has created a series of small original encaustic paintings which will be unveiled on July 15th at her Opening Reception. Her 2012 Collection will be exhibited and available for sale from July 15th to 29th. (click here for directions).
